These books are bound in a style known as 'flexible binding' which is the most common binding style used up to the 19th century. The sections of paper are sewn on linen cords and the book is covered with naturally dyed goat skin. The paper is a high quality laid paper with no water marks and the tooled designs are taken from original bindings.
I can also re-bind facsimile books so they can be used as part of a display or demonstration. If you would like a book re-bound or would like a book in a particular style or size, please contact me.
