Taylors Pattern Book by Diego de Freyle 1588

This facsimile book is covered with tan goat skin leather and is made by hand in the same way as they where in the 16th and 17th centuries. It has black and yellow headbands that reinforce the top and bottom of the spine. The paper is a high quality laid paper that has no water marks and there are 72 pages. The covers and spine are decorated with a blind tooling design copied from surviving examples from the same period as this was originally printed

It measures 11 by 4 3/4 by 1/2 inches (28 x 12 x 1 cm)and the text is the same size as the original. Note: There are sheets in the surviving copy of this book have been ripped in half half of the sheets are missing. In this facsimile the remaining parts of the damaged pages have been printed but it hasn't been possible to restore the missing parts.
